Ahead of our second Ask Anything Q&A, managing your personal finances, we caught up with panellist James Lambert to find out about his experience.

Tell us about your expertise

I am a Chartered Tax Adviser  and fully qualified Accountant with over 20 years of supporting clients. For the last 10 years I have focused primarily on Personal Tax issues helping ensure clients pay the correct amount of tax.

How long have you been a JCI member? 

Since October 2012

What’s the best thing about being a JCI member? 

The opportunity to interact with other members. I have been inspired on so many occasions by what other members can achieve when they put their mind to it and the mutual support that everyone has for each other to be the best they can be.

Tell us about a JCI highlight 

One of the many highlights of being a member was my time in Japan last year at the Japan Academy which prepares incoming National Presidents for their year in office. Meeting fellow members from all over the world, learning about Japanese culture including a traditional tea ceremony laid on for me!

How has JCI helped you in your career? 

In one word – Confidence. This is something that I have struggled with over the years and if it wasn’t for the support of JCI members to encourage me to push my boundaries I would not be where I am today.
