More than 30 delegates from JCI United Kingdom traveled to the JCI European Conference in Tarragona, Catalonia, last week.

Here is what some of them have to say about their experience (and don't forget to start planning for World Congress in Brussels 1-5 November!)

"JCI European Conference, for me, is about meeting interesting, dynamic and fun people from across Europe. With nearly 2000 people that wasn't difficult to do! From start to finish there were training events, historical and cultural tours, debates and of course the superb evening parties. As I said to a friend at the gala dinner, ‘where else can you get all this?'. The answer is JCI!"

Where else can you take your pick of world-class training and keynote speakers, spend time with a network of 1700 JCI friends and attend spectacular international parties? I left Tarragona with a head full of ideas, inspiration, new contacts and importantly, excitement to get back to my local chamber to put my learning into practice and create a real IMPACT!"

"My favorite part of the EC was the opportunity to network with hundreds of people from all over the EU and, since most of the networking took place in the social events that were put on by the various countries (Germany's was the best), it was also a fun experience!

While the Spanish proved that doing everything 'manana' is not a great strategy for getting people excited about doing business in Spain (or making it to the airport on time!), the British delegation powered through by out-drinking everyone! Not only that, but the inclusive nature of the British delegation was shown off to the other countries since, united mainly by a love for Union Jack clothing and alcohol, it included people from such far-off places as Germany, a former colony (USA), Syria, Turkey, Norway, Finland, and even The North (Yorkshire), and thus we were able to cheer JCI UK on in many languages! And, since we won many awards, there was lots to cheer on!

"Everything I've heard about the international side of JCI is true, going to EC is definitely the highlight of my JCI career to date and I can not emphasis to my fellow London Jaycee to take the opportunity to attend international events especially with World Congress in Brussels.
