JCI Supporting Sabirul’s Inspire1Million World Tour - 2010 JCI TOYP Honoree
The lasting legacy of TOYP - Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award.
Below you can read how JCI has supported 2010 Honouree Sabirul Islam on his mission to travel the world to Inspire1million
Back in November 2010, JCI came together at the World Congress in Japan, which saw Sabirul Islam become an honouree of the JCI 10 Outstanding Young Person's of the World.
Since then, Sabirul's passion to inspire young people to succeed through enterprise and entrepreneurship took a whole new step forward. Having seen thousands of JCI members from all around the world, Sabirul got in touch with many JCI organisations worldwide to help achieve his 'Inspire1Million' world tour.
The vision of the tour is to inspire, empower and transform the lives of ordinary youth to become more active via enterprise and entrepreneurship. Sabirul will be speaking at schools, colleges, universities and business events in countries which have supported the Inspire1Million world tour. He will also be on local and national radio as well as on many talk shows on TV, all to reach out to as many youths as possible, in order to motivate youth and encourage success through entrepreneurship.
Thanks to JCI's extraordinary support of Sabirul's vision. Sabirul has managed to arrange tours with JCI organisations in the following countries:
- The Maldives - May 2011
- Turkey - May 2011
- Sri Lanka - June 2011
- Syria - July 2011
- Botswana - August 2011
Sabirul aims to visit 20 countries in 12 months and inspire at least 1 million people to step up and succeed through entrepreneurship. Outside of JCI, Sabirul has also managed to arrange tours in Belgium, Hungary, USA and South Africa.
A message from Sabirul: "I would like to say a huge Thank You to everyone involved in JCI worldwide, for really opening my eyes to what can actually be achieved and the scale in which it can be delivered. Without JCI's support, I feel this project would not have been possible to take off."
With 9 out of the 20 countries confirmed, Sabirul is still on the hunt to get more countries involved, so if JCI UK can help, then fantastic :-)
Sabirul profoundly believes that JCI has brought "The World at His Feet!
