As May is National Walking Month, JCI Sheffield is inviting members to join our new campaign: Move More May!

Like RED January, we’ll be encouraging you to exercise for at least 30 minutes every day throughout the month. You can choose how you challenge yourself. For some members, this will be a great incentive to train for a marathon. For others, it might mean walking to the supermarket instead of driving, or starting an online yoga class.

Whatever you decide to do, this campaign can give you a motivating goal in these tough times. And exercising doesn’t just improve your physical health. According to Mind, studies have shown that exercise can help with better sleep, happier moods and managing stress and anxiety.

Want some extra motivation? You can also win a £20 Decathlon gift card! Simply snap and share photos of you exercising on social media using the hashtag #MoveMoreMay and tag @JCISheffield. We’ll pick a photo at random – so the more you post, the better your chance. Whether you’re planning on running 5k or walking the dog, we’d love to hear about your activities.
