National Convention T.O.Y.P awards ceremony: Meet some of our inspiring winners!

On Friday 24th June 2017, we celebrated the JCI UK  2017  T.O.Y.P awards ceremony, which took place at the Grand Harbour Hotel.  More highlights of the afternoon included 2017 JCI UK National President Michael Steel, presenting the prestigious awards to our following winners:  [caption id="attachment_3317" align="aligncenter" width="700"] On Friday afternoon Michelle Shavdia, Founder and Director of Find Your Spark, received the Business/Economic/Entrepreneurial Accomplishment award, saying, ‘It meant everything to have JCI believe in what I do and recognise the difference I am trying to make. I am very grateful and happy to have won this award and look forward to my continuing journey with them’.                                                                                                         [/caption] [caption id="attachment_3143" align="aligncenter" width="500"] Dean R. Lomax, self-taught Palaeontologist, Author, & Presenter received the Scientific and/or technological development award , saying "It is a great honour to be among the recipients of this year's JCI Ten Young Persons Competition. The other recipients of the award each have an incredible story and have achieved so much, so I am very proud to have been recognised among such a wonderful bunch of individuals. I like to think that my story can help to inspire people of all ages and abilities to continue to pursue their dreams and aspirations."                                                                                                                       [/caption] [caption id="attachment_3214" align="aligncenter" width="700"] Ryan Lisk receiving the Award for Business/Economic/Entrepreneurial Accomplishment.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_3217" align="aligncenter" width="500"] Lilian Seenoi collected the award for, Humanitarian and/or Voluntary Leadership, saying, "I am absolutely thrilled and humbled to be recognised and awarded this prestigious award and I am very honoured."[/caption] JCI’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World (TOYP) programme serves to recognise young people who excel in their chosen fields, creating positive change in their communities and across the globe. The international programme has been running since 1983 and past winners include Anthony Robbins, Jackie Chan and Queen Rania of Jordan.
