It is now only three weeks until World Malaria Day, where does the time go?
 
Thanks to those chambers that have already let me know what their plans are for World Malaria Day, but to those chambers that haven’t yet done so, it’s not too late!
 
Whilst we would like as many chambers as possible to organise a fundraising event on Wednesday 25 April to commemorate World Malaria Day, events organised the weekend before or after, or even later in the year are just as important.
 
No matter how large or small your proposed event is, anything you can do to either raise the profile and/or generate much-needed funds to combat the global threat posed by malaria, will be very much appreciated.  The UN Foundation’s Nothing But Nets campaign really does rely on organisations like ours to continue the fight on their behalf.
 
Local chambers in the UK are organising the following events to ‘make a difference’ in support of World Malaria Day:
 
JCI Leeds has a member who had organised a sponsored parachute jump
JCI Manchester are organising charity fund-raising dinner
JCI London are organising a pub quiz
JCI Cambridge are raising awareness of the campaign by selling orange Nothing But Nets wrist-bands to friends, family, work colleagues and the general public.
