What's on in 2013

We've been very busy putting together a great events schedule for JCI Portsmouth in 2013 and we hope there is something for everyone.

We try to put on around 3 local events a month and these are in addition to our national and international get-togethers. This year, our European Convention is in Monaco and World Congress takes place in Rio de Janeiro.

Training and business:
We typically have more structured sessions on the first Thursday of the month, and have got an exciting and varied programme in store.

Begin January with “New Year, New You”, an inspiring kick-start to help us get back into action in 2013.  “Creative Thinking” will help us to boost our efficiency and be more effective. Later on in the year, we’re pleased to welcome back The Bank of England for an off-the-record discussion of the economy and future prospects.

Planning:
We’re holding open 'Council Meetings' on (typically) the third Thursday of the month. These are FREE and open to all, members and non-members alike. They are your chance to come and have a say; find out what we do, take part, shape your future and get what you want from your membership. Perhaps run a project?

Social:
There are plenty of social events too this year - a chance to relax, let your hair down and get to know other members. Bowling, go-karting, comedy or cinema nights, there’s plenty of fun for all. Further details are here.

Community:
We’re building on a fantastic 2012 and giving more time and resources to The Rainbow Centre. Last year we raised over £700 for our fantastic local charity and this year we want to do even better. An Easter Egg Hunt is planned for the spring and we need your help!

We’ve got a fabulous set of events planned, but we’re here for YOU. Tell us what you want to see. How do you want to ‘be better’ this year? Together we can make it happen.

A powerful and successful 2013 starts here
