JCI London's TOYP honourees awarded
As the Awards Ceremony is nearly upon us, JCI (Junior Chamber International) London proudly presents the winners of the “2019 JCI London Ten Outstanding Young People Award” (TOYP). This award is a prestigious local and international awards to recognise outstanding young professionals who excel and create positive change in their chosen fields. JCI London honours five outstanding young people this year, and will have the opportunity to represent JCI London at JCI UK’s National Convention which is taking place in Belfast between Friday 22 and Sunday 24 November 2019. These winners exemplify the spirit of the JCI mission and provide extraordinary service to the Greater London community. The winners come from a variety of backgrounds and they are between 18 to 40 years old. They have all been nominated in these categories:
  • Business & Entrepreneurial Accomplishment
  • Academic Leadership
  • Medical Innovation
  • Contribution to Human Rights
  • Personal Improvement/Accomplishment
  The 2019 JCI London TOYP winners are: Marko Solopek – Business & Entrepreneurial Accomplishment For his incredible contributions to London’s economy through his work with the Battersea Power Station (BPS) to transform it into a hotspot for business and culture Dr Jajini Varghese – Medical Innovation For her exceptional services to those suffering from Breast Cancer through research and reconstructive surgery. Find out more here Simon Alexander Ong – Personal Accomplishment For transforming not his career but also other individuals through his admirable coaching and development, creating young leaders in the community. Find out more here Jillian Kowalchuk – Contribution to Human Rights For promoting personal safety through her impressive street smart app Safe & the City designed to track anti-social behaviour. Find out more here Tony Koutsombous – Academic Leadership For his outstanding academic contributions through educating others on the important skills of debate, critical thinking and public speaking.
